"Why you still have symptoms on thyroid medication." ISSUE 160, 29th August 2024 Welcome to all members of our thyroid family, new and old. It's lovely to have you here and a part of our thyroid family. π€ This free email newsletter goes out every two weeks on a Thursday and is the best way to keep up to date on all my work and hear directly from me without relying on social media algorithms! I hope you'll find this issue inspiring, reassuring and useful in your own thyroid journey. My aim is to share the information you need to live well with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's, as well as keep you up-to-date with what I'm doing in the thyroidsphere! β Thursday Thoughts Many people with hypothyroidism / Hashimotoβs are on medication but still feel unwell. Why? I have always said that getting well with hypothyroidism and Hashimotoβs is like piecing together a big jigsaw puzzle. Why? Because this has been the biggest lesson of all that I have learned since being diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism and taking my health back. 𧩠For so many of us, taking thyroid medication (to replace low thyroid hormone levels) is just one part of that puzzle. 𧩠What are the other puzzle pieces? Iβll list the most common onesβ¦
βAll of this is broken down, explained easily and has actionable steps in my bestselling book ββBe Your Own Thyroid Advocate: When You're Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tiredβ. β Thursday Health Check-in My latest test results came back! Thyroid hormone levels still optimal, Hashimoto's still in remission, Vitamin D and B12 optimal but ferritin... still low! It's finally back in range however, but only just. So the supplements and a retesting continues. I am being referred to a specialist for my itchy and sore scalp causes... so I am hopeful to find out what's finally going on there. β Outro - β β - Rachel Hill, The Invisible Hypothyroidism Follow Rachel on: Facebook | Instagram | Threads | Twitterβ β Sponsor a future issue of this newsletter and share your services or product with over 9,000 readers. π Interested? At the end of the day on which this photo was taken, after walking around Edinburgh, I collapsed at the hotel, passing out from pure exhaustion. It took a good hour or so for me to come back around. It was really frightening." βRead this here.β The Most Popular Post From My Instagram page in The Last Fortnight: Most Popular Reels From My Social Media in The Last Fortnight:
