"A New Look and Exciting Updates!"
ISSUE 112,
6th October 2022

Intro -

Welcome to all members of our thyroid family, new and old. That's over 7,700 of you receiving this issue! It's lovely to have you here and a part of our thyroid family. πŸ€—

I hope you'll find this issue inspiring, reassuring and useful in your own thyroid journey. My aim is to share the information you need to live well with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's!

Thursday Thoughts

A refresh felt needed.

Since I created The Invisible Hypothyroidism almost 7 years ago now, blogging about my hypothyroid and Hashimoto's experiences, setting up social media channels and an online support group, I've had pretty much the same colour scheme and 'branding' colours for 7 years!!

It had felt in need of a refresh for a while and last week, while updating this newsletter to give it a fresh look, I ended up diving completely in to a whole update across my website, social media, newsletters and more! So say hello to the new colours and 'look' I've implemented in my emails, as well as across my other channels. 😊

My website is still under construction as I do my usual perfectionist tendencies of fine tuning everything for hours upon hours! 🀣

I hope you find my website in particular more user-friendly now.

Though don't fret - my thyroid advocacy work and messaging is exactly the same!

Thursday Health Check-in

Currently, my health is pretty good. I've been having some acid reflux, so I've been concentrating on looking after my gut health (such a big part of the thyroid jigsaw puzzle) and eating a little better.

My baby is 4 months old now! And only waking for one feed at night, which is helping me manage my thyroid health more, as rest can play such a big part in symptom management.

Outro -

This newsletter issue is titled "A New Look and Exciting Updates!" in regards to the rebranding happening, however, it also includes information on other thyroid related news, interesting articles (like the flu jab), discounts, tips and advice, and links to popular thyroid social media posts from the last fortnight. Enjoy reading!

  • My LetsGetChecked discount code has changed from 20% off to 25% off. The code to use is now: INVISIBLE25.
  • The latest issue of my premium thyroid family newsletter went out on the 1st October and was all about acid reflux and thyroid disease! Don't forget to check your inbox if you're subscribed to my premium list. 😊
  • I'm still working much-reduced hours at the moment, on my 'sort-of-maternity-leave'. (Can you ever really take a proper maternity leave when you're self-employed?!) This means that I'm not on social media as much, or able to reply to all emails.

5 Ways to Be Your Own Thyroid Advocate

A lot of people are confused by what it means to be your own thyroid advocate.

Since the whole message of my work, website articles, books and more is to be your own thyroid advocate I definitely needed a post explaining exactly what this means!
